Benedict Norman Hamilton

Benedict Norman "Benny" Hamilton, 83, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on March 16, 2017, in Jeffersonville, Indiana. He was born on September 30, 1933, in Springfield, Kentucky, to the late Everett and Audrey (Farmer) Hamilton. Benny retired from Pillsbury Company in New Albany, Indiana, after 44 years of faithful service. He loved making his daily trips to G&G Radiator to help out and enjoyed camping, fishing, and playing cards.

Along with his parents, Benny was preceded in death by his sister, Faye. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Joann (Moore) Hamilton; his children, Marilyn Harmon (Rance), Ricky Hamilton (Carol), Ronnie Hamilton (Debbie), Belinda Glover (Rocky), and Lisa Stocksdale (Eric); his sister, Ruth Wilkins;12 grandchildren, Shelly H., Chris H., Chris O., Richard H., Jason S., Jeff H., Corey S., Daniel G., Ryan H., Jacob S., Brandon H., and Hallie S.; and 17 great-grandchildren, and one on the way.

Visitation will be from 12:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 19, 2017, and from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Monday at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana 47150). His Funeral Service will be held on Monday, March 20, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by burial at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park located on Charlestown Road in New Albany, Indiana.
