Belinda Jean (Deloney) Simpson, 65, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Monday, November 19, 2018. She was a member of Galatain Missionary Baptist Church and was a devoted mother, grandmother, and sister.
She was born on May 7, 1953, in Lawrence County, Alabama, to the late Frankie and Lucy (Smith) Deloney. Along with her parents, Belinda was preceded in death by her husband, Mack Simpson; and siblings, Oshie Franklin, Theophalus Deloney, and Dorothy McDuffy.
Belinda is survived by her loving children, Demetreaus Smith (Angela) and Bendra Simpson; grandchildren, Cameron, Marrisha, Demetreaus, Myles, Mariah, Alasia, Lance, and Mackenzie; great-grandson, Tristen; siblings, Louise Patton, Jacqueline Wallace, Richard Deloney, and Frankie Brown; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 27, 2018, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - New Albany, (3309 Ballard Lane). Her Funeral Service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home with burial to follow at West Haven Cemetery in New Albany, Indiana.
The family requests that contributions in Belinda's memory be made to the American Cancer Association.
