Listen to Obituary

Becky L. Henry, born December 17, 1960, passed away on July 19, 2026 surrounded by her family. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering devotion to her family and friends. Becky's journey through life was marked by caring acts, shared joy, and the warmth she brought into every room.

Becky graduated from North Bullitt High School in 1979, and from those early days she blossomed into a woman known for her infectious sense of humor and immense kindness. She embraced many roles—wife, mother, nana, sister, aunt, and friend—infusing each with her characteristic generosity and light-hearted spirit.

For 45 years, Becky shared her life with her beloved husband Mark, a partnership built on deep respect, adventure, and enduring companionship. Together, they found joy on the open road as "biker" travelers, collecting memories as they rode together.

A true nurturer, Becky enjoyed putting others first, often gathering loved ones around meals cooked in her celebrated cook-to-order kitchen. Fried chicken sizzling on the stove, grilling under summer skies, and baking with all the kids were moments she treasured. She loved canning her garden’s fresh vegetables and was known for making her own zesty hot salsa, sharing the fruits of her labor with those lucky enough to sit at her table.

Becky's joy for life extended beyond the kitchen and home. She loved walking on the beach, rides on the motorcycle with her husband and playing with her grandbabies. She made time for fun—whether she was bowling, roller skating, or introducing those she loved to games like Tetris, Yahtzee, and especially Bingo. Taking each family member to Bingo on their 18th birthday became a loving rite of passage, just one of the many ways she left her personal mark on her family's milestones. She never shied away from enjoying a good margarita and made laughter a central part of every gathering.

Her heart swelled with pride when surrounded by her family—her daughters, Dezeria Maupin (Robert) and Jessica Rogers (James); grandchildren RaeLynn, Cheyenne, Amerra, and Malika; her great-granddaughter Avri; siblings, Pete (Kathy Lynn) Bill, and Kathy Sue along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Becky's family will continue to feel her loving embrace in each cherished tradition and precious memory.

Becky is proceeded in death by her mother, Bertha Peek; father, Jess R. Peek; her sister, JoAnn Tuttle; her brother, Bobby Peek; her niece, Reagan Pouge; and her grandson, Luke Henry Maupin.

For all who knew her, Becky Henry was more than the titles she held—she was the heart of her family, a steadfast friend, and an amazing cook whose humor and nurturing spirit created a home where everyone felt welcome. Her soul touched all those she encountered, and the echoes of her laughter and kindness will continue to ripple through generations.

Family and friends are invited to gather in honor of Becky’s life at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Louisville, 10304 Dixie Hwy, Louisville, KY 40272. Visitation will be held on July 26, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m., followed by the funeral service at 4:00 p.m.
