Barry Douglas Dodge, Sr.

Barry Douglas Dodge, Sr., 67, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Monday, August 6, 2018. He was a skilled mechanic and enjoyed motorcycles and car racing. One of Barry's biggest achievements in life was celebrating 29 years of sobriety.

He was born on August 1, 1951, in New Albany to the late Melvin and Doris (Sieg) Dodge. Along with his parents, Barry was preceded in death by his brother, Larry Dodge.

He is survived by his children, Barry Dodge, Jr., Sheila Smith (Jesse), Micah Dodge, and Wesley Dodge; siblings, Phyllis Keehn (Robert) and Tony Dodge (Chrissy); and 9 grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon Friday, August 10, 2018, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). His Funeral Service will follow at 12:00 Noon in the chapel at the funeral home with burial following at Greenlawn Cemetery in Greenville.

Contributions in Barry's memory may be made to the American Cancer Association.
