Barry Eugene Cassidy

Barry Eugene Cassidy, 66, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, July 3, 2024.

He was born on December 8, 1957 in Louisville, Kentucky to Robert and Sarah (Smith) Cassidy. He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Eugene Cassidy, sister, Gayle Ellingsworth and infant brother, Robert Girard Cassidy. 

Barry is survived by his loving mother, Sarah Ruth Cassidy, siblings, Fred Cassidy, Ann Cassidy, Greg Cassidy (Maggie), Don Cassidy, nephews, Michael Blair (Tanya), James "Jamie" Cassidy (Heather Montgomery), niece, Hope Cassidy and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. 

A Memorial Mass will be on Tuesday, July 9th at 10:00 am at St. Michael Catholic Church (3705 Stone Lakes Dr, Louisville, KY 40299) . The family will receive friends that day from 9:00 am to 10:00 am at the church. Barry will be laid to rest in St. Edward Catholic Cemetery in Jeffersontown, following the mass. 

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Michael's Catholic Church 3705 Stone Lakes Dr, Louisville, KY 40299 to the building fund.
