Barbara (Wittry) Johnson, 63, of Clarksville, Indiana, passed away on May 12, 2016. She was born on June 14, 1952, in Louisville, Kentucky, to Ed and Charlotte (Pracht) Wittry. Barbara worked at American Air Filter in Louisville for many years and also for the American Barge Line Company in Jeffersonville. She enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening, crafting, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Barbara was preceded in death by her father, Ed Wittry. She is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Joe Johnson; children, Danny Johnson (Tracy), Andy Johnson (Rebecca), and Melissa Mayfield (Jason); her mother, Charlotte Wittry; siblings, David Wittry, Jean Durlauf, and Sherry Wittry; and four grandchildren, Evan, Ryan, Vincent, and Karma.
Visitation will be from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, May 16, 2016, at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana). Her Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, May 17, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. with visitation before from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. in the chapel at the funeral home with cremation to follow.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the American Cancer Society (701 West Muhammad Ali Boulevard, Louisville, Kentucky 40203).
