Barbara Sue Weedman 72, of Louisville, KY passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 5, 2020. She is dancing with the Lord's angels-free of the pain of her Earthly constraints.
Barbara was born on November 14,1948 in Parkersburg, WV to the late Claude E. Smith and the late Zana M. Smith (Carpenter). Barbara resided in Louisville, KY most of her life. She met and married her high school sweetheart, Howard L. Weedman on April 10, 1964. They spent 56 years devoted to each other, creating and building a life together.
Barbara was the Mother to Ronnie Weedman and Becky Weedman Moffett. She was the Mamaw to Savanna Jeffries, Daniel Livers and Emily Livers. She was the Sister to David A. Smith of Mt. Washington, KY.
Barbara leaves behind family, friends and many loved ones that were truly blessed to be surrounded by her passionate, caring ways. She was a very committed Wife and Mother. The Weedman household was a very close-knit family with a unique bond. She showed immeasurable strength when she cared for her ailing parents. She was always that friend/loved one that would talk OR just listen when someone needed love, guidance and support.
Over the years, Barbara was very involved in the Louisville square dancing community, where she and Howard made many life-long friends. Her main passions were crafting and flower gardening. She passed her love of nature and flowers to her children-who will continue to honor her memory with their mutual love of Nature's beauty. She loved the beach and often reminisced about beach vacations and walking the beach and enjoying the sunrise. Barbara also loved her furbabies and spent her lifetime surrounded by God's precious creatures.
Barbara was a Christian woman of Faith. She prayed daily and leaned on God often to guide her through her life journey. Barbara was a Child of God. A Mother. A Mamaw. A Sister. A Sister-in-law. An Aunt. A Friend.
