Barbara Lee Shivel, 74, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, February 28, 2015.
Barbara was born on December 19, 1940 in New Albany, Indiana to the late Arthur Thomas & Ruby Mae (Hosier) Shivel. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Robert W. Fleming; brother, Arthur Shivel; and her feline friend of 17 years, Velvet.
Barbara is survived by her sisters, Gladys Ann DeVore (John), and Nancy Tatlock-Morgan; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces & nephews, and other relatives.
Visitation will be from 1 to 8 PM Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). A private family entombment will take place at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Floyd County Humane Society (P.O. Box 1134, New Albany, IN 47150).
