Barbara "Pinky" Elaine Moore, age 65 of Simpsonville, returned to her Heavenly Father on Monday, July 27, 2020 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky. She graduated from Guyan Valley High School in Branchland, West Virginia and achieved her Associates Degree from Shelby County Technical College. She was an independent over-the-road truck driver whose handle was "Tennessee Rose". Barb was preceded in death by her parents, Jolene Jane Hensley Hodge and Denzel Frank Walker; her son, William Lee McCallister; and her siblings, Nancy Burdine and Mike Hensley.
Barb is survived by her loving husband, Ellis Dewey Moore; her children, Charles McCallister, II (Heather-who was one special daughter-in-law) and Sherry Bishop; 2 step-children, Patty Wentworth (David) and Vickie Moore; 7 grandchildren, Sean Bishop, Alex Grant (Matthew Long), Angel Hughes (John-Hunter), Hunter McCallister, Jacob McCallister, Lexi and Brandon Wentworth, 3 great-grandchildren, 14 adopted grandchildren; sisters, Cindy Garrison (Richard), Penny Henry (Chuck) and Sharon Walker; brothers, John Hensley (Laurie), Bill Hensley (Kathy), Greg Beckelheimer (Janet), Steve Hensley (Jessica), Bobby Hensley (Tammy) and Frankie Walker; and a host of family and friends.
Visitation will be 5 to 8 pm on Saturday, August 1, 2020 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, Kentucky (in Middletown), and on Sunday August 2nd from 12 to 2 pm. A Celebration of Barb's life will follow at 2 pm at the funeral home.
