Barbara Joyce (Brown) Steinbergen, 63, of New Albany, Indiana passed away Thursday, May 7, 2015. She spent the majority of her career as a nurse and was a dog lover.
She was born on January 7, 1952 to the late Robert Brown and Joyce (Davis) VanHorn. Barbara is survived by her sons, Johnny, Kevin, and Erick Steinbergen; siblings, Harry "Freddy", Jeannie, Billy, Marvin "Buddy", Danny, Jamie; granddaughter, Kiera Steinbergen; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 4 PM to 6 PM on Thursday, May 14, 2015 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) with a Memorial Service taking place at 6 PM. Cremation was chosen, following Barbara's wishes.
Contributions in Barbara's memory may be made to the American Heart Association (240 Whittington Parkway, Louisville, KY 40222) or to the American Cancer Society (701 W. Muhammad Ali Boulevard, Louisville, KY 40203).
