June 22, 1943 — June 30, 2015

Barbara June (Patton) Johnson, 72, of Borden, Indiana passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, June 30, 2015. She was born on June 22, 1943 to the late Edward & Marie (Duke) Patton. Barbara taught Sunday school for many years at the Carr Township Baptist Church and was a faithful member and deaconess at Grace Community Church. She loved to cook and everyone enjoyed her delicious pies and desserts.

Barbara is survived by her husband of 51 years, Joseph "Joe" Johnson; children, Steven Johnson (Paula), Michele Marry (Marvin), & Allen Johnson (Jamie); sisters, Ruth Grunden & Mary Baker; grandchildren, Nicole, Sarah, Natalie, Katherine, Tony, Gary, Lindsay, Robert, Michael, & Rebecca; and 2 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be on Thursday, July 2, 2015 from 2 to 8 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana 47150). Her Funeral Service will be on Friday, July 3, 2015 at 11 AM at the funeral home with burial to follow at Hickory Grove Cemetery in Borden, Indiana.

Memorial contributions in Barbara's name can be made to Grace Community Church (124 S. Indiana Avenue, Sellersburg, IN 47172) or Hosparus of Southern Indiana (502 Hausfeldt Lane, New Albany, IN 47150).
