Barbara Jean "BJ" (Biggs) Taylor, 78, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 26, 2016, at the Historic Villages of Silvercrest. She retired from Radiology Associates after 30 years of dedicated service and was a former resident of the Bennett Place in New Albany. Barbara always possessed a sweet and fun-loving spirit, which touched the hearts of all whom she met. She will be deeply missed.
She was born on November 10, 1937, in Memphis, Indiana, to the late Ralph, Sr., and Blanche (Butts) Biggs. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, John and Ralph Biggs, Jr.
Barbara is survived by her loving husband and dance partner of 56 years, Robert Taylor; daughters, Michelle Skaggs and Kimberly Taylor; sister, Gladys Biddle; and granddaughters, Ashleigh and Brooke Skaggs.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 1, 2016, at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) and on Wednesday after 11:00 a.m. Her Funeral Service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday in the chapel at the funeral home with entombment to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.
