Barbara Jean (Gehring) Alexander, 68, of Louisville, passed away Saturday, July 11, 2015.
Born in New Britain, CT to the late Robert and Elizabeth Gehring on March 15, 1947, she was a 1965 graduate of Fern Creek High School, a member of The Scottish Society of Louisville, and a former employee of SHPS/ADP.
She was preceded in death by her son, Charles William McCarty III, and her grandson, Jacob Robert Plamp.
Barbara is survived by her daughter, Cheri Eskridge (Chip), of Louisville, her son, Justin Alexander (Nicki), of Asheville, NC, four grandchildren, Chelsea Plamp, Will Eskridge, Madison Alexander, and Landry Alexander and two step-grandchildren, Andrew Eskridge and Alexandra Eskridge.
A celebration of Barbara's life will be held Sunday, July 19th from 4:00 – 8:00pm at Owl Creek Lodge, 10607 Hobbs Station Road.
The family would like to give special thanks to the staff of Hosparus of Louisville, the wonderful doctors and staff at CBC Group at Baptist Health Louisville, and her caregivers from ComForcare Home Care.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Hosparus of Louisville or Kentucky Organ Donor Affiliates (KODA).
