Barbara (White) Frankboner, 90, residing in Georgetown, IN, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 25, 2022. She loved raising her six children and enjoyed having large family gatherings including her twelve grandchildren and they all enjoyed her potato salad. She enjoyed playing Bocce ball, cards and other family games. She also took delight in getting together for fun with her close friends and their families. One of her fond memories was to go dancing with Dale on the weekends at the Philbo House.
She was born November 5, 1931 in Worcester, Massachusetts to Authur H. and Blanche R. (Michaud) White. She is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Dale L. Frankboner whom she married on September 18, 1954.
Barbara started in 1950 as a Payroll Clerk at General Electric in Worcester, MA. From there she served in the Armed Forces: U.S. Marine Corps as Private First Class and received a National Defense Service Medal. In 1955, she worked at the Erie County Office of the Probate Judge for 3 years. She then started a family with Dale and loved being home with her children. She worked at the Berlin Heights Post Office from 1978-1983 and from there she retired in 1995 from The Veteran's Administration Office in Sandusky, OH.
She was a member of the American Legion, Berlin Heights Chapter and the Berlin Heights Fire Deb's. She was a Eucharistic Minister at St. Peter's Catholic Church and a member of Bible Study. She also enjoyed being a member of the Huron Bowling Alley Couples League.
Barbara is survived by her loving family, Children, Ann Lawrence, Sandusky, OH, Sue McLaughlin (Michael) Louisville, KY, Beth Snay (Wayne) Palm Harbor, FL, Lynn Getrost (Craig) New Albany, IN, Mark Frankboner (Janice) Milan, OH, and Matt Frankboner Norwalk, OH; Brother, Fr. Peter H. White Georgetown, IN.; as well as 17 Great Grandchildren including Julianna Skiver and Jordan Wagner.
