Barbara Ann(Montgomery) Jenkins

Barbara Ann (Montgomery) Jenkins, 81 of Clarksville, Indiana was called home on Wednesday, May 27, 2015.

She was born in Russell Springs, Kentucky on Feb. 18, 1934. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mattie Avis and Aldon B. Montgomery; her sisters Lois Ann, Linda Hope Drahos; brothers Paul, Donald, James and Charles Montgomery.

She is survived by her children, Ron Balmer, Becky Elkin (Jerry) and Laura Spencer (Troy), Grandchildren, Jason Elkin (Bethany), Matt Balmer, Adam Elkin (Meghan), Daniel Balmer (Laurie) and Gabriel Balmer, Great grandchildren Mason, Lillie, Mattie and Alivia Elkin, Madison Balmer and Eli Balmer and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law Donna, Lucy and Ruth Montgomery, brother in law John Drahos of California and her aunt Kathleen Williams of South Carolina.

She was a Christian. She was a dedicated nurse for almost 30 years ministering to those in need. She was a passionate cook, avid card player, loved gospel music, but mostly, spending time with her family and friends

Visitation will be on Saturday, June 6, 2015 from 10a.m. to 1 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana 47150) with her service to follow at 1:00 p.m.
