B. A. "Bill" Mahaney, 96, of Louisville, KY passed away peacefully on July 20th, 2016 at the Sacred Heart Home. Bill was born in Little Rock, AK on January 15th, 1920.
Bill served in the U.S. Air Force, 123rd Division for 17 years. He owned and operated the B.A. Mahaney Antique & Refinishing Co. for 65 years.
He was a member of the Parkwood United Methodist Church for many years, where he served as Chairman of the Board and Finance Chairman.
Bill was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Beyond his love for God and family, he loved fishing and enjoyed telling fish stories.
He is survived by his wife of 75 years, Lillian M. Mahaney; daughters, Billie J. McDonald (Jim) and Detsi M. Woerner (Fred); and grandsons, Bryan E. McDonald and Michael B. Woerner.
Bill's family would like to thank the wonderful Sacred Heart Home Staff and Palliative Care Team for the exceptional kindess and care provided to Bill daily. God bless you all.
Visitation will be from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Sunday, July 24th, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home Louisville East Chapel (235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, KY 40243). His Funeral Service will be private.
