Avis Marie Pollard, 68, of Jeffersonville, Indiana passed away on December 24, 2014. She retired from Beach Mold & Tool in January 2014.
Avis was born on January 26, 1946 in Eckerty, Indiana to Hattie (Kendall) Pinnell and the late Albert Wiseman. She was preceded in death by her brother, Scott Wiseman.
Avis is survived by her husband of 22 years, Roy Houston Pollard, sons; Terry (Diane) Dixon and Tim (Melissa) Dixon, daughters; Beverly Rudolph, Teresa (Albert) Nordhoff, and Kimberly (Jeff) Melton. She is also survived by four brothers, two sisters, ten grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm Monday, December 29, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany).
Her Funeral Ceremony will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 am at Newcomer Funeral Home New Albany with burial to follow at Walnut Ridge Cemetery.
