Austin &Norma Smith
November 7, 1924 — June 30, 2014
Austin L. & Norma (Rogge) Smith, 89 & 87, of New Albany, Indiana went to be with the Lord the last weekend of June 2014. Austin & Norma were happily married for 60 years. Austin was a veteran of the United States Army and served during World War II.
They are survived by siblings, Bob, Jim & Coleman Smith, Twila Chusak; niece, Julie Vincent; nephew, David Samuels; cousins, Kenny & Judy Spond. Austin was born in Sterling, Kansas to the late Coleman & Neva (Durkee) Smith & Norma was born in Clarksville, Indiana to the late Lee & Bessie Mae (Spond) Rogge.
Cremation was chosen following the couple's wishes. A private family graveside service with military honors will be held at New Albany National Cemetery.
