August Joseph "Augie" Sprigler, 72, passed away on Wednesday, April 15, 2015. He enjoyed woodworking and playing the guitar. Augie also liked to collect both stamps and coins.
He was born on August 25, 1942 in Floyd County, Indiana to the late Raymond and Gertrude (Schindler) Sprigler. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Roy Sprigler.
Augie is survived by his children, Tracy Roberts (David), Mark Sprigler, Ellen Moody (Hank), Jason Sprigler, Amy Sprigler; sisters, Sylvia Kruer, Cecilia Ann Schindler (Lawrence), Joan Ruff (Jay), Priscilla Meek (Terry); brothers, Meinrad Sprigler (Beverly), Daniel Sprigler (Cheryl), Simon Sprigler (Wendy), Chris Sprigler (Angela); former wife, Eula (Robinson) Wright; 8 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Cremation was chosen and a Memorial Service will be held on 4 PM, April 25, 2015 at Restoration Christian (11515 US 31, Sellersburg, IN 47172). Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) was entrusted with his care.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to Amedisys Hospice Care (303 Quartermaster Court, Jeffersonville, IN 47130).
