Ashley Elizabeth Davenport, born on November 8, 1988, passed away on September 15, 2026. She will be remembered as a bubbly, friendly, sweet, caring, soft-spoken, and deeply loving woman whose presence brought warmth to the lives of those around her.
Ashley worked at Pet Smart as a store manager, and her love for animals was a natural part of who she was. She was an animal lover through and through, and that same gentle spirit carried into the many things that brought her joy. She enjoyed collecting Disney items, especially backpacks, cups, and Mickey Ears. She found happiness in crocheting, painting, reading, watching different television series, and doing her makeup each day. Ashley also enjoyed gardening and loved the flowers in her yard. She appreciated simple pleasures as well, including a good Crumbl cookie and her daily trips to 7Brew.
Among Ashley’s happiest memories were trips to Disney with her fiancé James and her daughters, times that reflected her love of family and the joy she found in being together. Of all the blessings in her life, her proudest accomplishment was her two daughters, who meant everything to her. She also dearly loved her fur-baby, Ezra.
Ashley fought a good fight after being diagnosed with a meningioma brain tumor. Her first surgery, in 2023, lasted 26 hours. Throughout that journey, she showed the same loving spirit and quiet strength that defined her life.
She is survived by her fiancé, James Blue, III; her mother, Jennifer Davenport; her dad, Charles Wease; her beloved daughters, Trinity Morrison and Kayleigh Morrison; and her brothers, William (Yarixa) Wease and Andrew (Sommer) Wease, nephew, Bubba, and fur-baby, Ezra. She also leaves behind many cherished memories in the hearts of those who loved her.
She was preceded in death by her father, Anthony Davenport, and her grandmother, Catherine Hall, lovingly known as Mamaw, and grandfather, James Hall known as Papaw.
Visitation will be held on September 23, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Louisville, 10304 Dixie Hwy, Louisville, KY 40272. A funeral service will be held there on September 24, 2026, at 11:00 a.m.
Ashley will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered for her gentle heart, her devotion to her family, and the light she brought into everyday life.
