Listen to Obituary

Asa Walker Bolton, a radiant spirit who brought joy and light to all those around him, was born on September 22, 2025, in Louisville, Kentucky. Tragically, he left this world on January 5, 2026, at the tender age of three months. Asa’s name, which means "healer" in Hebrew, truly reflected the nurturing presence he embodied during his brief time with us.

Though his time on Earth was far too short, Asa’s life was filled with boundless joy and love. He was the happiest baby, forever smiling and lighting up every room with his bright disposition. His parents, Christian and Courtney Bolton, cherished every moment they had with their son. Asa had a special bond with his older brother, William, with whom he shared a deep connection that brought happiness to both siblings. They were not just brothers but best friends, sharing countless adventures together.

Asa was adored not only by his immediate family but also by grandparents Todd Bolton, Amber Bolton, Laura Mathes-Means, and Scott McCutcheon, who showered him with love and care. His aunts and uncles, Grace and Jacob Beeler, were equally captivated by his gleeful spirit. Asa's extended family included great-grandparents Barbara Stotts, Patsy Bolton, Larry Bolton, and Mary Mathes, as well as great-aunts and uncles such as Michael and Jacqueline Pittman, Zac and Autumn Thurmond, and cousins Mackenzie and Madison Thurmond, all of whom treasured their moments spent with him.

Asa made everyone feel seen and special. His calming presence brought comfort to his family, and they took solace in knowing how deeply their love surrounded him. Each smile, every coo, and the warmth he radiated created a lifetime of memories packed in those precious three months. While his departure leaves a profound sadness, the love he brought into the lives of his family and all who knew him will continue to be a source of strength and healing.

Friends and family can gather to celebrate Asa’s beautiful life during a visitation on January 12, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southern Indiana in New Albany, IN, burial will follow at Walnut Ridge Cemetery, 2421 Hamburg Pike, Jeffersonville. The family invites, friends and relatives, to join them for a repass meal at Victory Baptist Church, 2510 Perry Crossing Rd., Sellersburg, IN 47172 following the burial.  In these moments, family and friends will come together to remember the joy Asa brought, cherish the love he shared, and honor the incredible impact he had on all their lives.

Though Asa’s time with us was far too brief, he will be forever remembered in the hearts of his loving family and friends. His spirit will continue to heal and inspire those who carry his memory, knowing that Asa Walker Bolton was, and always will be, a bright light in their lives.
