Arthur Bernard Milam

Arthur Bernard Milam, 60, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on November 30, 2017. Bernie loved to read and was a big history buff. He was a member of Chapel Hill Christian Church for 21 years where he served as Deacon.

Bernie was born on March 19, 1957, in Louisville, Kentucky, to Lilla M. (Tanner) Milam and the late Ernest A. Milam. Along with his father, he is preceded in death by his brothers, George M. Milam and Matthew E. Milam.

Bernie is survived by his wife of 21 years, Gwen (Duke) Milam; mother, Lilla Milam; brothers, Henry E. Milam (Marjorie), Michael L. Milam (Kae), and Joseph P. Milam (Genia); sisters-in-law, Nanette Eberle, Vonya Gresham (Lonnie), and Deidre Eberle (John); and brother in-law, Vallen Duke.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 5, 2017, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). His Funeral Ceremony will be held Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. at Chapel Hill Christian Church (6940 Chapel Hill Road, Borden, Indiana) with burial to follow at the church cemetery. Additional visitation will be on Wednesday at the church from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
