Arthur Lalumandier

February 15, 1948 — September 6, 2021

Arthur Allan "Art" Lalumandier, 73, of Louisville, KY passed away on September 6, 2021. He was born February 1948 in Houston, TX to the late Ben and Theony (Toni) Lalumandier. Also preceded in death by his adored grandparents Fred and Nina Lalumandier. Raised in Pasadena, TX Art graduated from Sam Rayburn High School where he played football. He continued football at South West Texas State University and earned his undergrad and MBA at Sam Houston State University. He was a proud Bearkat alumni and followed their successful football program. His IT management career (focused mainly on the Healthcare Industry) was spread over Texas, Louisiana, California, Michigan and Kentucky. As a result of the Texas oil bust, Art's career brought him to Holland, MI where he met the love of his life Cathy Bogard. They were married in 1990 and the newlyweds relocated to League City, TX where they were blessed with two children. A career opportunity at St. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital (Caritas) led them to Louisville, KY where they raised their children for the past 25 years. He was a respected elder at Hopewell Presbyterian Church. His retirement years were spent at Holiday Inn Express & Suites Louisville East where he was well loved amongst co-workers and regular guests. He was in his element as their "concierge". Art was a true sports enthusiast- youth, high school, college, pro - he loved them all. He loved attending his children's sporting events, gaining many, many lifelong friends throughout the years. Over the past seven years he was a member of the Louisville Male High school press box team for their highly successful program. He absolutely loved that gang and the camaraderie and friendship that ensued. Art's greatest characteristic was his storytelling ability! He was an outgoing, intelligent, humorous man who never met a stranger, always sharing a story-funny or a life lesson. Over his lifetime, Art read thousands of books. Every Thursday he would reserve books from USA Today's Best-seller's list. He always had at least one active book and more in wait.

Art leaves to cherish his memories, his wife of 31 years Cathy Bogard Lalumandier; beautiful daughter, Abby Lalumandier; handsome son, Alex Lalumandier; and sister, Sheila Lalumandier. Art also leaves a host of In-laws who loved him dearly, Friends and Extended Family.
