Arthur William Griffin, born on January 7, 1943, in Sellersburg, Indiana, passed away peacefully on February 24, 2026, in Henryville, Indiana. He was a devoted family man whose presence will be profoundly missed.

Arthur proudly served in the United States Navy, a commitment that reflected his dedication to his country and fellow citizens. His passion for life was evident in his love for the great outdoors, particularly through his hobbies of hunting and fishing. He especially enjoyed saltwater fishing, often spending time in the pursuit of adventure on the water. He was also a life-time member of the NRA. These experiences were treasured, as they provided him with moments of joy alongside his beloved family.

He leaves behind a loving family, including his daughter Sheri Wright, sons Anthony "Tony" (Lisa) Griffin and Phaline (Teddie) Griffin, and daughter Jean LuAnn (Michael) Bethea. Arthur was also a proud grandfather to Dallion (Kiana), William, Sarah, Edward, and Major, and a great-grandfather to Landon, Lynnli, and Emma. He was blessed to have children like grandchildren, including Cheyenne Hochadel, Tyler Vanwinkle, and Courtney Ater. His family was a source of immense pride and joy throughout his life.

Arthur is also survived by his brothers, Bobby and Mike Griffin, along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins who cherished their time spent with him.

In addition to his extensive family, Arthur is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Delores "Skeeter" Griffin, whose memory will remain a guiding light in the hearts of those he leaves behind. He is also mourned by his parents, Robert and Lois Griffin; great-grandson Trevin Scott Griffin; and sisters, Gloria Ann Miller, Eilleen Burton, and Mariellen Mills.

As we reflect on Arthur's remarkable life, we celebrate not only his accomplishments but also the warmth and kindness he shared with all who were fortunate enough to know him. His legacy will continue to live on through his family and the countless memories they created together.

It was Arthur's wishes to be cremated with no services.
