Arlie Franklin Dixon

October 19, 1936 — December 20, 2014

Arlie Franklin Dixon, 78, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, December 20, 2014. He was a retired custodian for Indiana University Southeast after having 25 years of service. Arlie was a member of Calvary Road Baptist Church and also enjoyed deer hunting.

He was born on October 19, 1936 in Whitesburg, Kentucky to the late John and Stella (Watts) Dixon. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Relma (Shelton) Dixon; siblings, William, Ricky, Crevin, June Dixon; and grandson, Jeremy Morphis.

Arlie is survived by his daughters, Vickie Copler (Jim), Pamela Reagan (Richard); siblings, Vina Nelson, Gracie Poole (Richard), Eunice Miller, Nancy Pankey (Kenny), Julie Kaufer, Debbie Hutchison (Dave), Roger Dixon (Rosanne); grandsons, Andrew Copler, Stephen Reagan; great-grandchildren, Zachary, Joseph, Chloe, Jaiden, and Ellie.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 PM on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane New Albany, Indiana 47150). His Funeral Service is at 10 AM Wednesday at the funeral home with burial to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany.
