Anthony E. "Tony" Stewart

Anthony E. "Tony" Stewart, 70, of Lanesville, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2018. He had been an employee for both American Air Filter and Jordan Technologies. Tony was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, the Spring Valley Bee Club, and a life-time member of the Beekeepers of Indiana.

He was born on November 5, 1947, in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late Charles "Alvia" and Rosine (Peter) Stewart. Tony was also preceded in death by his brother, David Stewart.

Tony is survived by his wife of over 51 years, Kathleen (Marking) Stewart; children, Douglas Stewart (Christie) and Diana Shuff (Chuck); granddaughters, Kelsee Watson, Gwendolyn Stewart, and Gabby Shuff; 3 siblings; and a large extended family.

Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sunday, January 14, 2018, at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) and from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on Monday at the church. A rosary will be prayed at 5:30 p.m. on Sunday. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Monday at Holy Family Catholic Church (129 West Daisy Lane, New Albany) with entombment to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.

Contributions in Tony's memory may be made to the WHAS Crusade for Children (520 West Chestnut Street, Louisville, Kentucky 40202).
