Anthony H. "Tony" Kiesler D.V.M., 87, of Clarksville, Indiana, passed away on Friday, April 8, 2016. He was a dedicated veterinarian who owned and operated Kiesler Animal Clinic in Edwardsville from 1968-2002. Tony was a proud veteran of The United States Army. He was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, the Indiana Veterinary Medical Association and the American Veterinary Medical Association.
Tony was born on December 29, 1928 in Bradford, IN to the late Frank W. & Agnes E. (Gettlefinger) Kiesler. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his 1st wife, Barbara (Wolcott) Kiesler; siblings, Clement Kiesler, Anne Cecil, Francis Kiesler, & Margaret Peterson.
He is survived by his wife, Judith (Gardner) Kiesler; children, Connie Maves (Scott) of Salt Lake City, UT, Tom Kiesler (Amy) of Chicago, IL, Kathy Glanstein (Rochamim) of New York, Frank Kiesler (Alison) of Simi Valley, CA, Geri Kiesler of Indianapolis, IN, Elizabeth Thompson of Rushville, IN, & Gina Kiesler of Indianapolis, IN; 18 grandchildren; & 4 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 12 to 8 PM, Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). His Funeral Mass will take place at 11 AM on Thursday at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church (316 N Sherwood Ave, Clarksville, IN) with burial and military honors to follow at St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery in Bradford, IN. Additional visitation will be from 9 to 11 AM on Thursday at the church.
