Anthony Alexander Jackson

August 22, 1955 — February 25, 2017

Anthony Alexander "Poldie" Jackson, age 61 of Shelbyville, KY, passed away on Saturday, February 25, 2017. He was an Army Veteran, was an avid UofK Wildcat fan and never met a stranger. He was always willing to help a person in need. He was formerly employed at Whitney and Young. Anthony was preceded in death by his parents, Augusta Brown and Arthur Bernard Jackson, Sr.; brother, Ronald A. Jackson, Sr.; and step-brother, David R. Taylor.

Anthony is survived by his loving companion of many years, Peggy Dunston; step-children, Mary Moore and Bobby Moore; step-grandchildren, A'davion and Shontelle; siblings, Arthur Jackson, Jr. (JoAnne), Virginia Jackson, Mac Jackson (Betty Ann), Byron Jackson (Tammy), Alisa Jackson, Beverly Jackson, Eric Jackson (Domica), Pamela Davis (Isaac), Debbie Reed and Marcus Robinson; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Visitation will be 10am – 1pm on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at St. John United Methodist Church, 212 Martin Luther King Jr. St, Shelbyville, KY 40065, followed by a celebration of Anthony's life at 1pm. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Shelbyville, KY.
