Anthony Eugene Arnold, a beloved soul, departed from this world on July 5, 2024, in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. Born on November 19, 1952, in his hometown of Louisville, he lived a life filled with dedication and love. Anthony proudly served his country in the US Marine Corps and later worked as a certified welder for many years.
Known for his gentle demeanor and love for children, Anthony was a man of great responsibility who took his obligations seriously. He had a stern yet caring approach that left a lasting impact on those around him. In his leisure, he found joy in being an animal lover, gardening, fishing and working on cars, showcasing his compassionate nature.
In mourning his loss but cherishing precious memories are his surviving family and friends: daughter, Taylor Arnold; bonus children, Ashley Ernst and Billy Ernst; brothers, John (Shannon) Arnold, George (Karen) Arnold, James Earl Arnold, Dallas Wayne (Debbie) Arnold, Joseph (Linda) Arnold, along with sisters Betty Rice, Mary Boyd, Tammy Marie (Glen) McIntyre, Cassie (Paul) Blakley, Marni Arnold. He is preceded in death by his parents, Elmer Lee Arnold and Cordia Kendrick; as well as his sister, Judy Mutchler.
A visitation to honor Anthony's life will be held at the Southwest Louisville Chapel on Monday, July 15, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. followed by a Celebration of Life at the same location at 4:00 p.m. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 18, 2024 at 2:30 p.m. at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff, Kentucky.
