A wonderful Mother, Anora Hart Dippel Mercurio passed away on Saturday December 11th after a lengthy battle with Parkinson's related dementia. Mom was a glorious soul, a true believer in our Lord and looked forward to the day that she could meet him and be back in Dad's arms. She rarely had a cross word for anyone and never complained. In the latter years, when we asked how she was doing the answer was always the same, "Pretty good for an old bat!" She lived 89 years, 49 of those she spent with our Dad until 2004. The last 17 years took their toll as Mom started suffering with memory loss shortly after losing Dad. That was probably GOD's Blessing as her missing him turned inward and she didn't talk about him as much. I always thought Mom had selective memory, as she would remember the things she wanted too, but conveniently forgot others. She enjoyed her final years living with Annette and Bobby as her constant companion's. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Donald G Mercurio, her parents, Arthur & Edna Hart Dippel and sisters Betty Dippel Quire and Dorothy Jeanne Dippel Mayes.
Mrs. Mercurio is survived by her children; Mark A. Mercurio (Lora), Annette G. Richardson (Bobby), and D. Alan Mercurio (Lee Ann); grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
A memorial service for Mrs. Mercurio will be 6 pm on Friday, December 17, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, Kentucky 40243.
