Annette Belle White

Annette Belle White, 89, of Clarksville, Indiana, passed away peacefully at home on September 9, 2026. She was born on December 21, 1936 in Birmingham, Alabama, to the late Charles C. and Rose V. Cole.

After attending an all girl’s school and spending time in a convent, Annette proudly graduated from John Carroll High School. After a brief stint selling jewelry for Jewels by Park Lane, she went on to build a successful career in radio advertising, where, for more than thirty years, she was a top-performing sales representative for several radio stations in the Louisville market. Her commitment and determination earned her the respect of her colleagues and made her a formidable salesperson. She had a particular knack for winning sales contests that earned her dinners, trips, and even the family’s first VHS camcorder—an accomplishment that became a fond family memory.

While Annette took great pride in her career, her greatest joys were found in her family and friends. She treasured time spent together, especially gathered around a good meal and even better stories. Often, though, it was after the meal during “Happy Hour,” that the family truly came alive—singing, dancing, laughing, and enjoying each other’s company. Annette loved to laugh, and her laughter was contagious.

Holidays and family gatherings were especially dear to Annette. She had a special way of making those occasions feel warm, welcoming, and memorable. Even Santa himself couldn’t resist Annette’s holiday gatherings and routinely made an annual appearance to visit with her and her family.

Long before settling into her cherished roles as a grandmother and great-grandmother, Annette was a competitive dancer and even won a quick-draw contest—just a few of the many unexpected and entertaining stories that reflect her spirited personality and made her life uniquely her own.

Faith was another important part of Annette’s life. She was an active and dedicated member of her church, participating fully in the life of her faith community for as long as she was able. She hosted prayer groups, attended retreats, and found comfort, purpose, and fellowship through her faith and the people with whom she shared it.

Those who knew Annette will remember a woman who was giving and affectionate, compassionate and honest, and someone who consistently put others before herself. Her presence brought comfort and joy to those around her, and her warmth left a lasting impression on everyone she touched.

One of Annette’s greatest joys was watching her family grow, succeed, and flourish. She took enormous pride in her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and she celebrated each new generation and their accomplishments with genuine happiness. She loved her family deeply, always looked out for them, made them feel cared for, and helped hold them together.

Annette’s memory will be cherished by her children, Lisa White Copple (Donald), Richard Gerald White, and Regina White Wolfe (Eric). She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Paul Smith (Mandy), Andrea Bergeron (Ryan), Devin Copple, Dane Copple, Tara Smith, and Lucas Wolfe. Her legacy continues through her great-grandchildren, Henry Smith, Charlotte Smith, Benjamin Bergeron, and Harrison Bergeron.

She was preceded in death by her father, Charles C. Cole Jr. her mother, Rose Virginia Cole, son, John Eric White, and daughter, Angela Marie White.

Annette leaves behind more than memories. She leaves a legacy of love, faith, generosity, laughter and devotion to family. Her life was a blessing to those who knew her and she will be deeply missed and forever cherished by the family and friends whose lives she touched

A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, October 10th, 10:30am, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 316 N Sherwood Ave, Clarksville, IN 47129, with a private burial to follow. A luncheon will be held at the church fellowship hall starting at 1:00pm.
