Anne Raeuchle VanHorn, born on October 27, 1958, passed away peacefully on September 3, 2025. A beacon of strength and love, Anne lived her life as a devoted single mother to her three children, pouring her heart and soul into raising them, and finding immense joy in being present for every milestone they achieved. Her dedication to her family was unwavering, and she cherished the role of being a mother more than anything else in the world.

Anne wore her heart on her sleeve, showcasing a compassionate spirit that endeared her to many. Known for her strong-minded nature, she confidently embraced her individuality and steadfastly pursued her passions. Whether it was her unwavering support for her favorite sports teams or her love for the soothing comfort of her garden, Anne engaged with life in vibrant and fulfilling ways. She found peace and happiness in nurturing her yard, spending countless hours by the pool, surrounded by laughter and memories created with her loved ones.

In addition to being a devoted mother, Anne took great pride in her most treasured accomplishments: her children and grandchildren. They were her pride and joy, and she reveled in every moment spent with them, creating a legacy of love that will carry on for generations. Her spirit and love for family will be deeply missed but will continue to inspire those she has touched.

Friends and family are invited to celebrate Anne’s life during the visitation on September 15, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and to her funeral service later that day at 6:00 PM, both held at Newcomer Funeral Home in Southwest Louisville, located at 10304 Dixie Hwy, Louisville, KY 40272.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley Gwara, Sr. and Mary Ann Doss; brother, Stanley Gwara, Jr.; sister, Theresa Pendleton and nephew, Stanley Gwara, III.

Anne leaves behind to cherish her memories are her children, David (Annie) Raeuchle, Rebecca Raeuchle and Christina (Brian) Smith; special nephews, Michael (Jennifer) Pendleton and John Pendleton; grandchildren, Christian (Kelsey), Kaitlyn, Haley, Jasmine, Gage, Fallon and Johnathan; great-grandson, William; brothers, David (Karen) Gwara and Paul (Amy) Gwara;  and a host of nieces and nephews. 

Though Anne’s physical presence will be missed, her memory will forever be etched in the hearts of all who knew her—an enduring reminder of a remarkable woman who lived fiercely and loved deeply.
