Anna Marie Patterson, a vivacious spirit born on June 27, 1953, in the sun-kissed paradise of Louisville, Kentucky, has traded her bingo cards and karaoke mic for celestial freedom after a glorious run filled with laughter, love, and a whole lot of sunshine. She departed us on January 31, 2026, leaving behind a trail of smiles, a slightly confused but hopeful Bingo night, and enough stories to keep her family entertained for decades—or at least until the next family reunion.
Anna was not just any ordinary lady; she was a legendary figure in the Bingo circuit, renowned for wielding that iconic microphone like a modern-day diva. If there were medals for calling out numbers, she’d have draped herself in gold! She thrived in her element, with her humor that could light up a room as brightly as the sun she adored lounging under. Anna had an infectious laugh that could drown out the sound of any scoreboard at a high-stakes Bingo game—seriously, there are still reports of balls being misplaced thanks to her.
Her proudest accomplishment? Well, besides winning multiple rounds at Bingo, she raised five incredible children: daughters Tina Miller, Buffy Mendez (with the ever-charming Bruno), and Adrienne Patterson, as well as a son who presumably has yet to be mentioned in this sneaky obituary. And not to forget her 11 grandchildren, Cody, Canyon, Grant, Zoe, Kaiyah, Alyssa, Jayna, Olivia, Lindley, Kingston, and Bibiana—they’ve all been blessed with legendary “grandma stories” chronicling her reign as the Karaoke Queen and her adventures at the beach. Not to mention, she also left behind two great-grandchildren, Alexis and Phoenix, who must be preparing their own holiday karaoke albums by now. She also leaves behind a brother, Dennis Hyberger and sisters, Cindy Cape, Carol Davidson, and Judith Schulz (Dennis).
Sadly, Anna will be joining her mother, Mary Jean Hyberger, her father, Ralph William Hyberger, her daughter Alicia Patterson, and her brothers—Dicky, Bob, and Steve—up in a heavenly Bingo hall. Rumor has it they're currently crooning a duet in the sky and debating whose turn it is to call the next game.
Anna's friends and family can celebrate her lively spirit at the Mass taking place on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at 10:00 am at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church in Louisville (that's the one with the dazzling stained glass and a certain reverent vibe—definitely not your neighborhood bar). The mass will kick off just after the morning Bingo games wrap up—because what kind of send-off would it be without a tad bit of punctuality mixed with laughter? A celebration of life will follow at St. Martin's Brotherhood at 1502 Winter Ave. from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm.
So, let’s raise a glass of fireball (her drink of choice under the sun) and remember Anna Marie Patterson, the adored queen of play and laughter, whose smile was as bright as her karaoke performances. You know what? We’ll even try not to sing too off-key in her honor—because if there’s one thing we all know, it's that she will be singing just a little louder than us from above!
