Anna Mae(Gohagon) Cook

Anna Mae Cook, 82, of New Albany, Indiana, passed peacefully at her home on August 30, 2016, after a long illness. She was a devoted sister, mother, and grandmother.

Anna Mae was born on September 8, 1933 in New Albany, Indiana to the late Lee and Madora Gohagon. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Garland, Elizabeth, Arthur, Christine, David, Lillian, and Helen; her children, Helen Jo, Alice Elizabeth, Lloyd Reed, and Barry Anthony.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory: her children, Eddie Cook, Jr., Linda Russell (Ivan), Sandra Fugate, Lisa Cook, and Andita Weathers (Aaron); 10 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 9 AM to 1 PM on Saturday, September 3, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) with Funeral Service following at 1 PM in the chapel at the funeral home. Burial will follow in West Haven Cemetery.
