Ann Michelle Murphy

Ann Michelle Murphy, age 56, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 18, 2025.

Ann was born on January 20, 1969, in Louisville, Kentucky, to Stella Robinson and William Anderson.

Ann will be forever remembered for her infinite beauty, illuminating smile, and magnetic spirit. Her sense of style influenced everyone around her, and her presence lit up any room she entered. She carried herself with grace, intellect, and authenticity, while also being known for her ambition, diligence, quick wit, and joyful sense of humor.

Ann was a lover of life. She adored her family deeply and made every gathering feel like a celebration. She was known for her FIYA lasagna— a signature dish that warmed hearts and stomachs alike. Her love for cooking was matched by her love for music. From the soulful rhythms of Stevie Wonder and Glenn Jones, to the smooth sounds of Billy Ocean, music was her personal joy and sanctuary.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Stella Robinson.

Ann leaves to honor her memory: her sons, Rodney (Quisha) Murphy and Saevion Anderson; her precious granddaughter, Riya Murphy; her sisters, Alyce Anderson, Marian Walker, and Monica Mbacke; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and dear friends who will cherish her loving memory forever.
