Ann Elizabeth Martin

Ann Elizabeth Martin, 78, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, September 23, 2020.

Ann was born to the late Roy Cleveland Rodgers and Ader Lee Colvin (Hedges) in Shelbyville, KY. Ann worked a variety of jobs throughout the years including waiting tables at Churchill Downs, as a receptionist for Catholic Charities, driving cars for Budget Car Rental, and as a bus monitor for JCPS. She also volunteered with the Boy Scouts of America, starting as a Den Mother for her son's cub scout pack and eventually working with the scouts at a District Level.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, David Francis Martin; her parents; and siblings, Warren, Tommy, George, Frances, and Dorothy.

Ann is survived by her son, Jason Martin (Kay); niece, Karen Crompton (Dan); and a host of other nieces and nephews.

A memorial gathering for Ann will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2020 from 1:00 to 4:00 pm at Newcomer, Cremations, Funerals, and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel (235 Juneau Drive).

The family has asked that donations in Ann's name be made to the American Diabetes Association in lieu of flowers.
