Ann Marie Johnson

Ann Marie Johnson, of New Albany, passed away peacefully on September 25, 2026, surrounded by the love and warmth of her family. She was born on November 26, 1945, in New Albany, Indiana, and throughout her life remained deeply connected to the people she loved most.

Ann was a proud graduate of Our Lady of Providence High School. She went on to work diligently as an administrative assistant in real estate for numerous years, bringing compassion, honesty, and dedication to her work. She was someone who genuinely enjoyed what she did, and she carried that same care and commitment into every part of her life.

Above all, Ann was a devoted wife, a loving mother and grandmother, and a loyal sister and friend. She loved her family above all else, and her proudest accomplishment was watching her family grow and succeed. She enjoyed bunco, reading, and going to the beach, and she especially cherished time spent with her grandchildren, her friends, and her family. She also deeply loved her husband of 60 years, a bond that stood as one of the great blessings of her life.

She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Llewellyn "Dick" Johnson. She also leaves behind her son, Brian Johnson; her daughter-in-law, Michelle Johnson; and her beloved grandchildren, Lainey Johnson, Brayton Johnson, and Chase Johnson. Ann is also survived by her brother, Robert Trouy (Barbara), as well as her sister, Rita Trindeitmar (Robert). Each of them shared in the love, pride, and steady presence that Ann gave so generously, and her memory will continue to live on in the family she treasured so deeply.

She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Trouy, and her mother, Thelma Trouy.

Visitation will be held on October 1, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southern Indiana, 3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana 47150. A Mass will be held on October 2, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 1752 Scheller Lane, New Albany, Indiana 47150.

Ann Marie Johnson will be remembered for her loving heart, her steadfast devotion to her family, and the warmth she brought to those around her. Her life was a blessing, and her memory will remain a comfort and inspiration to all who knew and loved her.
