Ann Marie Hieatt, 87, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, March 9, 2021. Ann enjoyed shopping, reading, and gardening. She attended St Peter the Apostle Catholic Church with her daughter. Ann retired from Kindred Hospital, formerly St. Anthony Hospital, after over 20 years at the age of 79. She was a one of kind person, who never stopped, and had a great sense of humor. Ann was deeply loved and will be missed by all who knew her.
She was born on October 15, 1933 in Louisville, Kentucky to Albert and Marie (Schneider) Kennedy. She is preceded in death by her husband, Bob Hieatt, Sr., daughter, Barbara Allen, parents, grandson, Shawn Grimes, siblings: Albert Kennedy, Jr., Dan Kennedy, Tom Kennedy, Vincent Kennedy, Margie Greenwell, and Alice Taylor.
Ann is survived by her son, Bobby (Laverne) Hieatt, Jr., son, Joe (Charlene) Hieatt, daughter, Karen (Rick) Basham, daughter, Joan (Donnie) Grimes, son, Brian (Mary) Hieatt, daughter, Lisa (Shane) Johnston, and son-in-law, Dave Allen. Ann also leaves behind to cherish her memory 19 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, March 18, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). A Catholic Service will be at 11:00 am on Friday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel with burial to follow at Bethany Memorial Cemetery in Louisville, Kentucky.
The family would like to express gratitude to all the doctors, nurses: Mitchel, Lindsay, and Christina, and care staff for their support during the last few weeks. Also, to Joe & Charlene for taking great care of Ann for many years.
