Angela Renee Henderson, age 56, a lifelong resident of Louisville, passed away on Friday at Audubon Hospital. She was surrounded by the immense love of her family as she transitioned.
Affectionately known to her family as "Yaya," Angela was a true force of nature. She was delightfully witty, wonderfully loud, and unapologetically boisterous. Her laughter could fill any room, and her heart was even bigger than her voice. Angela naturally stepped into the role of caretaker for her family, serving as a fierce protector, a source of wisdom, and a constant support system for her siblings, nieces, nephews, and great-nephews.
Professionally, Angela was a dedicated and beloved employee at UPS for 27 years. Out of all the roles she held over nearly three decades, her absolute favorite was her most recent: serving as the aircraft maintenance line planner for the B747 fleet. She took immense pride in her work and loved the camaraderie of her team.
Angela was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Patricia and Michael Heibert. Her legacy of love, humor, and devotion lives on through her surviving family: husband: Arnett Henderson; siblings: Ann Heibert, Allan Heibert, Amy McNeil (Joe), and Amanda Satterly (Patrick); nephews: Jordan, Zach, and Justin; nieces: Kacie, Kori, and Anneliese; great-nephews: Nolan, Jackson, Henry, Hal, and Hank; as well as a wide circle of extended family and dear friends who will miss her vibrant spirit every day.
Visitation for Angela will be Monday, April 6, 2026, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY, from 12pm-8pm. A celebration of Angela's life will be Tuesday, April 7, 2026, beginning at 1pm at the funeral home.
She will be laid to rest at Bethany Memorial Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to the American Stroke Association to help others in their fight against stroke complications.
