Angela Mae (Hockersmith) Weber Chowning, 84, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Friday, April 22, 2022.
She was born on July 21, 1937, in Floyd County, Indiana, to the late Huntley and Margaret (Pillars) Hockersmith. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, Donald Weber; second husband, William Chowning; sons, Ricky Weber and Mark Andrew Weber; stepson, Wayne Chowning; sisters, June Dooley, Verla McMorran, Jacqualine Nance, Ina Reynolds, and Elnora Stocksdale.
Angie is survived by her loving daughter, Sarah Angela (Eric) Wade; stepson, Billy Chowning; stepdaughter, Mary Alice (Gary) Pike; sister, Alline Lofton; 5 grandchildren Melissa, Matthew, Niki, Hannah, and Lydia, one step-grandson Joey; and several great-grandchildren.
Cremation was chosen following Angie's wishes, and no services will be held.
The family requests that contributions in Angie's memory be made to Johnson University (7900 Johnson Dr., Knoxville, TN 37998).
