Angela Elizabeth Chapman
February 1, 1963 – April 25, 2026
Angela Elizabeth Chapman departed this life on April 25, 2026, surrounded by the love and memories of those whose lives she touched so deeply. Born on February 1, 1963, in Louisville, Angela was the only daughter of the late John O. Chapman and Myrtle Brooks Chapman.
Raised in Louisville’s historic Cotter Homes community, Angela was part of a large, spirited family whose bond was rooted in love, resilience, laughter, and togetherness. She was the last surviving elder of the Chapman siblings and was preceded in death by her beloved brothers: Johnny, Alonzo, Alexander, Andrew, Kevin, and Ronnie Chapman.
Angela leaves behind a legacy of love in her devoted son, Clayton Laron Alexial Chapman; her treasured grandchildren, Kayleigh, Erielle, and Silas Chapman; and a host of loving “big head” nieces & nephews, extended family members, and lifelong friends who were blessed to know her.
To know Angela was to know joy. She was the life of every gathering — quick with a joke, full of laughter, and gifted with a spirit that could brighten any room. Her humor, warmth, and unforgettable personality created memories that her family and friends will carry forever. Whether among family, neighbors, or lifelong friends, Angela made people feel seen, welcomed, and loved.
Her absence leaves an immeasurable void, but her laughter, stories, and vibrant spirit will live on through the many lives she touched.
The Chapman family extends heartfelt gratitude for the prayers, love, and support shown during this difficult time.
“Wherever Angela was, laughter was sure to follow.”
