Angel Nicole Snellen-Decker

Angel Snellen-Decker, 40, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, August 10, 2021. Angel was a loving mom, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She grew up in Iroquois and attended Fern Creek High School. She had a passion for music and learned to play the violin early in life. She had the voice of an angel and would show that in her karaoke showdowns. She was an avid UofL fan and that passion was passed down from her dad. She had a thing for hats but don't leave out those cats Oreo, Sebastian, Austin, Timberland and Rilo. She would always support anyone's dreams and endeavors. Family meant everything to her and no matter what, she would be there for any family gatherings. No matter what Angel went through she would stay faced and stand strong always. She was our real life Angel.

She was born on July 28, 1981 in Louisville, Kentucky to Johnny and Sherry (Snellen) Mass. She is preceded in death by her father, Johnny Mack Mass.

Angel is survived by her loving family, mother, Sherry Lynn (James) Green; children, Elijah W. Decker, Egypt K. Decker, and Easia L. Decker; siblings, Stephanie R. (Jamil) Snellen, Tanya L. (Vincent) Snellen-Butler, Donnell D. Snellen, and Jamie D. Snellen; nephews, Todd, Devonte, Dominique, Josiah, and Joshua; nieces, Jasmine (Stephen), Christina, Imani, Italia, Kayla, Amethyst, and Arianna; great-nephews, Emmanuel and Jiehel; great-nieces, Devaeh, Elaina, and Devinity. As well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, family, and friends to cherish her loving memory forever.

Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). Her Celebration of Life Service will be at 5:00 pm on Saturday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel.

The family requests that contributions in Angel's memory be made to her mom Sherry Lynn Green for Angels children.
