Andre Holman, a cherished son, devoted father, beloved uncle, and true friend, was born on March 10, 1969, to Jacqueline Holman (deceased) and Richard Holman in the vibrant city of Louisville, Kentucky. With a heart full of love and a spirit that radiated warmth, Andre left this world on August 25, 2025, but his legacy continues to shine brightly in the lives he touched.
A proud graduate of Valley High School, Andre's remarkable journey was marked by his passion for sports, where he excelled in football, basketball and track. He was not only a phenomenal athlete but also an inspiring coach, dedicating his time and energy to mentoring young women as the coach of his daughter Nicole’s AAU basketball team, the Derby City Dragons. His influence and guidance will resonate through their lives for years to come.
Andre had a zest for life that extended to his love of riding motorcycles, which brought him immense joy and a sense of freedom. His trusted Honda Shadow was a reflection of his adventurous spirit. Alongside his hobbies of cooking, grilling, sports and collection of music—includes his favorites by Luther Vandross and Tupac—Andre embraced each day with joy, often found listening to jazz as he cleaned or simply spent time with loved ones.
Known affectionately as "Dre" or "Mighty Mouse," Andre was a man of his word, epitomizing responsibility and hard work, dedicating over 15 years to American General and 6 years to TARC. His strong work ethic and unwavering commitment to excellence made him a respected figure in his community, loved by all.
His devotion to family was unparalleled. Andre's generous spirit brought comfort, laughter, and love to those closest to him. He is survived by his adoring daughter, Nicole Holman, his father, Richard Holman, and his brother, Richard "Ricky" Holman. His sister, Latondia Johnson, who passed before him, too, held a special place in his heart.
As we celebrate Andre's life, we remember a man who instilled discipline and mental toughness in those around him while spreading love and positivity. Though he has departed from us, his spirit and impact remain engraved in our hearts, inspiring us to be better every day.
Andre Holman will always be remembered—not just for his accomplishments, but for the kindness, generosity, and love he shared so freely with everyone he encountered. He may be gone, but his memory will live on in the stories spoken, the lives touched, and the love shared in his name.
