Listen to Obituary

Amy Rassinier Klusman, age 63, of Goshen, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on October 27, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on August 11, 1962, in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late Ruth and Paul Rassinier.

Amy grew up in St. Matthews, where she developed her lifelong warmth, creativity, and care for others. She was a proud graduate of Waggener High School and went on to attend Eastern Kentucky University, where she built lasting friendships and began shaping the nurturing, thoughtful woman everyone came to love.

On May 8, 1987, she married the love of her life, Tom Klusman, and together they shared 38 wonderful years of marriage filled with laughter, partnership, and countless memories. Amy was the heart of her family, a devoted wife, mother, sister, and friend whose kindness and patience touched everyone she met.

Amy is survived by her husband, Tom Klusman, and her two daughters, Alexa (Steve) Hagen and Heather (Landon) Kraft. She is also survived by her half-sister Sandra (Harold) Ritchey; her stepbrothers Lewis Taber and Paul (Catherine) Taber; her stepsister Ruth (Gary) Wilder; and a multitude of nieces and nephews who will carry her memory with them always. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ruth and Paul Rassinier, her half-brother Charles Walters, and her half-sister Bonnie Wallace.
Amy will be remembered for her kind spirit, her willingness to listen without judgment, and her gift for offering encouraging words and unconditional love. She had a unique way of making everyone feel seen and valued, a friend to many, a “bonus mom” to countless, and a true light to those fortunate enough to know her.

She loved crafting flower arrangements, working on puzzles, and spending sunny days boating with family and friends. The beach was her happy place, especially when shared with loved ones, and she was always up for the occasional shot of tequila and a laugh.
Her family and friends will forever smile when remembering her favorite word, “Dittos,” a reflection of her warmth and the love she gave so freely. And for those who were blessed to tell her “I love you,” Amy always had the same tender reply: “I love you more.”
