Amelia Ann(Bauerla) Mcdougal

April 15, 1951 — April 19, 2016

Amelia Ann (Bauerla) McDougal, 65, passed away on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at Hillcrest Senior Home. She worked in hotel management. Amelia served as a church deaconess and youth leader that shared inspiration and love to all of those around her.

She is survived by her husband of 35 years, John McDougal; sons, Jason Bauerla, Thomas Broy; daughter, Cara Nava; and siblings, Madonna Bauerla, Jeffrey Bauerla and Amy Joe Bauerla. She will be missed by many grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

Amelia was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Barbara Ann (Stewart) Bauerla and siblings Dawn Bauerla and Richard Bauerla.

The family would like to thank doctors and nurses who cared for Amelia over the last several years, especially Dr. Dost Mohammed.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, April 22, 2016 with visitation from 11 AM 12 PM at Northside Christian Church – The Foundry (4407 Charlestown Rd, New Albany, IN 47150). Newcomer Funeral Home was entrusted with her care. Contributions in Amelia's memory may be made to the Human Association of Clark County (2702 Middle Road, Jeffersonville, IN 47130).
