Ambrouse Eugene Cooksey

Ambrouse Eugene Cooksey, 72, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, January 1, 2021. Cooksey graduated from Shawnee High School, and worked at the Ford Truck Plant for over 30 years before his retirement. He enjoyed fishing and being in the outdoors. Cooksey liked to ride around to all the different parks. He loved his family and Cockatiel, June Bug.

He was born on November 15, 1948 in Madisonville, Kentucky to Ambrouse and Mary (Sutton) Cooksey. He is preceded in death by his Parents, and Wife, Bessie Cooksey.

Cooksey is survived by his, Daughters, Marsha (Luis) Negron, Teresa (Hugh) Bowling, Andrea Cooksey, and Tonya Cooksey, Grandchildren, Cornelius Anderson, Jr., Cherita Keene, Kaitlyn Turner, Jada Walker, Jason Walker, Jr., and Adia Cooksey, Great-Grandchild, Rosella Turner, Sister, Rosalind Cooksey, Brothers, Kenneth Cooksey, and Houston Cooksey, Aunt, Elizabeth Sutton, Friend, Katie Wright, and Step-Son, Jason Walker. Cooksey also leaves behind to cherish his memory a host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, Friends, and Extended Family.

Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Monday, January 11, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). His Memorial Service will be at 6:00 pm on Monday, at Newcomer Funeral Home Chapel.
