Johnson Alyce Estelle, 87, passed away on February 4, 2015.
Alyce was born on September 12, 1927 in Louisville, KY to the late Nathaniel and Estelle Elzy. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Johnson Sr.; son, Benjamin Johnson Jr.; grand-daughter, Joanne Lucille Foree; and grandson, Lenard Jackson.
She is survived by her children, William Anderson III, and Victor C. Anderson Sr., Benita (Charles) Ayers, Michael Evan Johnson (Tuskegee, AL), Brenda (Alvin) Johnson-Rudolph, Carla (Leland) Boyd, Deborah (Charles) Kerr, and Margaret C. Johnson; siblings, Bernice Shelby, and Harold Elzy; 32 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great grandchildren.
A Homegoing service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, February 9, 2015 at Canaan Christian Church (2840 Hikes Ln, Louisville, KY 40218) Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of service at church.
A Special thanks to caregivers and grandchildren Joe and Sha'Rhonda Thompson for care since January 5, 2015 along with the Hosparus team.
