Alvin Lamar "Rudy" Rudolph, 67, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, February 3, 2021. Rudy was an avid UofL fan, GO CARDS! and loved his Jaguars. Alvin Graduated in 1971 from Louisville Male High School. He worked for South Central Bell for over 30 years and after his retirement he worked for Value City and served for the Woman's Club. He enjoyed playing basketball, softball, and volleyball through CWA and Pioneers Club along with his involvement with the Yearlings Club.
He was born on December 20, 1953 in Louisville, Kentucky to Eddie and Blanche (McCray) Rudolph. He is preceded in death by his parents. Alvin was introduced early in life to the Lord Jesus Christ.
Alvin is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Brenda Alyce Rudolph; children, Wesley J. Rudolph and Ericka L. (Jeffery) Quarles; grandchildren, De'Ari L. Cowherd, Kameron Rudolph, Imari Quarles, and Isaiaah Quarles; siblings, Diane Edwards, Eddie (Sandra) Rudolph, III, Larry (Tasha) Rudolph, Garry (Sandra) Rudolph, and Anthony (Mittie) Anderson; niece, Regina Shead. As well as a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends to cherish his loving memory.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on Saturday, February 13, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). Due to COVID restrictions his funeral service will be private.
