Aloysius F. Wolczyk, Sr., born in Auburn, NY June 6, 1919, peacefully completed his journey of life on Nov. 10, 2016.
He is survived by one sister, Sue Sullivan, living in Auburn NY: four children; AL Wolczyk jr (Jahn), Corkey Wolczyk (Vicki), Carol Ash (Gary) and Pam Krupp (Alan). Nine grandchildren; Jennifer Wolczyk, Kristin Walter, Jonathan Wolczyk, Ian Wolczyk, Jacob Wolczyk, Jenna Lane Wolczyk, Erin Greenwood, Ryan Krupp and Tyler Krupp. Eight great grandchildren; Lauren Walter, Clayton Walter, Blake Wolczyk, Lila Wolczyk, Knox Wolczyk, Eli Greenwood, Violet Wolczyk, June Wolczyk; and Rylend Story.
He left Auburn to fight in WW II, married Susan M Sebastian in Feb 1944 prior to shipping out to serve in North Africa, Italy and eastern Europe. Once he returned, he earned his Mechanical Engineering degree and went to work for International Harvester for 30 years. He retired at age 58 and enjoyed 39 years of retirement. During his retirement, he enjoyed traveling, playing golf and his main passion, playing cards with regulars. He played his last game three weeks prior to his death at Knights of Columbus.

A funeral mass will be held at the Church of the Ascension, 4600 Lynnbrook Dr, Louisville, KY 40220 at 10:00 am December 10, 2016 with burial immediately following at Resthaven Cemetery.
