Allan Dwight Bogard

Allan Dwight Bogard born on July 7, 1954, passed into eternal rest on April 5, 2026. He was a member of Okolona Masonic Lodge #853 , which he joined in 1993, as a Master Mason and was elected Master of his lodge in 2000.  In 1994 Allan joined Kosair Shrine Temple where he served as President of Directors then Director of Directors staff.  Allan was a float master for 19 years where he designed the floates and headed a team of volunteers to build the Kosair floats for the Kentucky Derby Festival Parade. He took great pride in working for Kosair Charities. Allan and his wife are the proud possessors of a museum  quality Masonic and Shrine collection. 

He also designed and fabricated several hot rods of his own.  He and his wife enjoyed building, driving and showing those cars at local car shows.  Allan and Vicki loved traveling and they visited all 50 states, 

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Lavenia Bogard; and his siblings, Jimmy, Shirley, Mary Catherine and Debbie. 

Allan is survived by his best friend of 32 years who is also his wife Vicki of 27 years; nephews, nieces and cousins and a shared a special relationship with Willie Barnes, his wife's nephew. 

Visitation will be Thursday, April 16, 2026, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel. 10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY from 12pm-8pm and Friday, April 17, 2026, from 9am till 12:30pm with a celebration of Allan's life beginning at 12:30pm.

Allan will be laid to rest at Louisville Memorial Gardens, West, 4400 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY.
